Tumbling Blocks (Jeff's First Quilt)

I made this 42"x48" wallhanging in 1995 for my husband’s new office. He’s been promoted several times since then and opted for a new, larger version. Three of his earth toned cotton plaid shirts were used for the tumbling blocks. A solid brown muslin was used for the borders. The backing is unbleached muslin. The top and backing are 100% cotton and the batting is polyester. It is completely outline hand quilted except the borders are quilted in a rope pattern.

This quilt was recently sold and no longer lives with me.
